The River Witham in Bardney

Bardney Lock

This location is a ‘hidden treasure’ of the area, which is currently difficult to access, but enjoyed by the many fishermen and people on boats.

Bardney Moorings & Bardney Bridge

Accessible on the left bank going downsstream, the floating pontoon provides the moorings for the village. The bridge used to feature tow-paths for horses to pull the boats along the River Witham.

Southrey Moorings

The pontoon is located on the right hand bank going downsteam with access to The White Horse, so therefore does not provide access to the village. There is a ‘primative’ slipway at Southrey on the left hand bank, which is not currently accessible for public use, and is only used by other groups in times of emergency.  There is also the ability to land on the left hand bank to gain access to the village and The Riverside Inn.
